A shimmering horizon, scattered red gum trees, a distant dog’s bark, and the murmuring of sheep grazing quietly. In the mid 1800s this remote outback sheep station – Jamieson’s Run – was home to the pioneering Chaffey brothers. Our wines from vineyards in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia were named in tribute to this pioneering past.
The Limestone Coast is a picturesque landscape of what was once an ancient seabed. This unique wine region features an abundant supply of pure underground water and outcrops of terra rossa soil. Its moderate climate and cool nights in summer ensure slow and gentle ripening of the grapes. Key varietals from this extraordinary wine region include magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon, exceptional Shiraz and quality Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
